Queen Camilla launches Scotland's National Year of Reading with Edinburgh visit

Britain's Queen Camilla visited the National Library of Scotland in Edinburgh on Monday (January 19) to launch Scotland's National Year of Reading, a campaign led by the Department for Education and the National Literacy Trust.

During the visit, she was presented with a framed Beano comic strip featuring herself and shown artefacts from the library's collection by curator Ralph McLean, including a ceremonial key used to open the building in 1956.

While leaving, Queen Camilla greeted people gathered outside the building before entering a vehicle of her motorcade and departing.
