KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia's foreign minister on Monday urged Thailand and Cambodia to fully and effectively implement an existing ceasefire agreement and expressed hope that a special ASEAN foreign ministers meeting would renew efforts to restore stability.
In opening remarks to the ASEAN meeting in Kuala Lumpur on Monday that were shared with media, Mohamad Hasan stressed the bloc must take all necessary actions to maintain regional peace and said its goal extended beyond de-escalating tensions, adding that trust-building between Cambodia and Thailand must be intensified.
