MANILA – The southwest monsoon or “habagat” will continue to drench several areas in Luzon, the weather bureau said Saturday.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the “habagat” will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro.
The southwest monsoon is also forecast to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Visayas and the rest of Luzon.
Mindanao, on the other hand, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over the northern and western sections of Luzon, while the rest of the archipelago will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas. (PNA)
