EU expects 'positive decisions' on 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said she expects “positive decisions” on a €90 billion loan for Ukraine during an EU foreign ministers’ meeting on Wednesday, stressing the urgent need for support. She added the package would also signal that Russia cannot outlast Ukraine.

The European Union's foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said she expected "positive decisions" on the 90 billion euro ($105.94 billion) loan for Ukraine to be made on Wednesday (April 22).


"We expect some positive decisions tomorrow on the 90 billion loan. Ukraine really needs this loan and it's also a sign that Russia cannot outlast Ukraine," she told reporters on Tuesday (April 21), ahead of a meeting of EU foreign ministers held in Luxembourg.
