The Leclercs join stars on Cannes red carpet

Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc and his influencer wife Alexandra made an appearance on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet on Wednesday (May 13), the first full day of this year's glitzy cinema showcase.

The couple, who were married on February 28, posed for photographers as they joined A-listers including Demi Moore and Gillian Anderson on the busy red carpet.

Other celebrities attending Wednesday's red carpet events included Mexican stars Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal, Chinese actors He Yanchao and He Changxi, Indian actor and entrepreneur Alia Bhatt and Chinese actor Gong Li.

This year's Cannes Film Festival kicked off on Tuesday (May 12) and runs through Saturday, May 23. 

Stars expected at Cannes this year include Scarlettt Johansson, Adam Driver, Renate Reinsve, Sebastian Stan, Rami Malek, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem.
