The search for the first-ever “Reina Filipinas” queens is underway after the pageant introduced its inaugural batch of 21 delegates at The Grand Reina Reveal welcome and sashing ceremony held at Aquila Crystal Palace in the Sky in Tagaytay on Monday, July 13.
Three titles will be awarded during the Reina Filipinas coronation night on August 7 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater. The pageant will crown the country's next representative to Miss Grand International while two delegates will be selected to compete in MGI All Stars.
The roster includes both first-time pageant contestants and experienced beauty queens. Each delegate walked the runway in their respective outfits before introducing herself and the locality she represents.
The delegates also took part in an opening production number before receiving their official sashes. The batch represents communities from across the country including Bulacan, Camarines Sur, Manila, Palawan, Iloilo, Pangasinan, La Union, Zambales, Bataan, and Quezon City, among others.
The delegates include beauty queens with national and international pageant experience. Alexie Brooks, Reina Filipinas Iloilo, won the Miss Eco International 2025 crown in Egypt last year.
Anna Patricia Lorenzo Diaz, Reina Filipinas Manila, placed in the Top 6 of Miss International Queen 2025. Angelica Lopez, Reina Filipinas Palawan, previously competed in Binibining Pilipinas 2023 before representing the Philippines in Miss International 2024.
Also joining the inaugural pageant are former Miss Universe Philippines contestants Scarlett De Mesa and Kristen Joy Marcelino, who represented Los Baños and Pateros, respectively.
National director of Reina Filipinas Organization Emma Tiglao, the reigning Miss Grand International, joined the candidates on stage for the opening performance.
Tiglao then presented the sashes alongside renowned entrepreneur and Reina Filipinas president Jojo Bragais, who also served as a judge in the recent MGI All Stars pageant. Tiglao and Bragais also unveiled the official crowns.
