Maureen Wroblewitz shares audition video for lead in 'Off Campus'

Filipino-German actress and model Maureen Wroblewitz recently shared her audition tape for a role in the TV adaptation of the romance series "Off Campus"  on her TikTok account. In the video, the "Asia's Next Top Model Season 5" winner delivers lines as the series’ protagonist, Hannah Wells.

“I auditioned for the role of Hannah. This is soooo out of my comfort zone to post (I might delete lol). I haven't been sharing this side of my journey online but maybe I should be more open about this was from Feb 2025 btw,” she wrote in the caption.

Maureen, 27, teased fans in another comment, saying she imagined herself meeting Harry Styles while doing the audition.

The role of Hannah Wells eventually went to American-British actress Ella Bright, who is known for her work in “The Crown,” “Malory Towers,” and “Holmes & Watson.”

Fans quickly flooded the comments section with praise and encouragement, cheering Maureen on as she pursued a new chapter in acting. One supporter even wrote that they would not stop rooting for her until they saw her on Netflix. Maureen responded enthusiastically, saying she had no plans of giving up and added that she would be happy to land a project on any major streaming platform.

"Off Campus" premiered on May 13 on Prime Video. Based on the book series by Elle Kennedy, the story follows college music student Hannah Wells and hockey player Garrett Graham, played by Belmont Cameli, as they navigate life, relationships, and sports at the fictional Briar University.  The series is currently the number one show on Prime Video.

Maureen built her career in entertainment after winning "Asia's Next Top Model Season 5." She later entered the pageant scene and competed in Miss Universe Philippines 2021, where she finished as first runner-up.

She later ventured into acting, with roles in films such as "Runaway " and "Take Me to Banaue." She has also appeared in TV series like "FBI: Most Wanted" and "Almost Paradise."

Maureen won the February 2025 Actress of the Month award of The Monthly Film Festival ifor her performance as Sofia in the short film “And We'll Be Okay.”
