Manila Sound icons VST & Co., Boyfriends, Sampaguita headline 'Sumayaw Sumunod'

Get back to the era of bell-bottom jeans, 8-track cartridges, and disco dancing as you sway to the groovy sound of the 70s in "Sumayaw Sumunod: The Manila Sound Reunion." Legendary Filipino artists will come together for this nostalgic one-night concert on August 1 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City.

The concert features the voices behind some of the most popular hits of the 70s that defined the Manila Sound and disco movement. The event pays tribute to  artists whose music became part of Filipino pop culture and contributed to the development of Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

Sharing the stage are some of the biggest names behind the Manila Sound era, including Male Rigor and Monet Gaskell of VST & Co., Joey Abando of Boyfriends, Nonoy Tan and Rey Magtoto of Wadab, Mon Espia of Labuyo, Lolita "Nene" Carbon of Asin, The Rainmakers, Sampaguita, Gino Padilla, and Pat Castillo.

Concertgoers can look forward to singing along to timeless OPM classics and dancing to Manila Sound favorites that continue to resonate across generations.
