Korean actor Kim Seon-ho marked his birthday with a meaningful gesture by donating to elderly welfare.

According to AllKpop, the actor’s agency Fantagio shared on Monday, May 11, that Seon-ho donated 50 million won (about ₱2.07 million) to the Korea Association of Senior Welfare Centers in celebration of his 40th birthday on May 8.

The organization works nationwide to improve senior welfare centers through policy support, educational programs, research, and network-building initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for senior citizens.

The donation will go toward educational and social participation programs for seniors across welfare centers in South Korea.

Kim has been consistently celebrating his birthdays with charitable acts since 2021, supporting causes such as leukemia treatment for children and financial assistance for young adults preparing for independent living.

Maeil Business reported that Seon-ho's eperience interacting with local seniors while filming the variety show “Bonjour Bakery” inspired him to donate to the welfare centers. He became more motivated to support programs that help seniors continue learning and keep them active.

Aside from his birthday donation, Seon-ho also shared moments from his celebration in Japan by posting Instagram photos  of himself smiling and holding a strawberry cake, adding the hashtag ‘#Japan.’

Kim Seon-ho is currently meeting his fans through  “Love Factory,” a fan meet-and-greet touring several Asian cities including Manila on May 31.
