Jericho Rosales overwhelmed after meeting Matt Damon

Filipino actor Jericho Rosales may be a celebrity himself but he was in awe when he met Hollywood star Matt Damon at “The Odyssey” premiere in Mumbai, India. What was suppossed to be a simple autograph request turned into a heartwarming exchange between the two actors.

In a video uploaded by Jericho on Instagram, the 46-year-old actor is seen approaching Damon, 55, at a press event to ask for an autograph. Damon asked for his name, and Jericho spelled it out as the actor wrote it down. 

Jericho then told Damon, “Man, you inspire me so much. I really appreciate it.” Damon graciously accepted the compliment, thanked Jericho, and added, “Hopefully, we work together.”

Overwhelmed by the moment, Jericho shared his reaction in the Instagram Reel, writing, “I died when he said that. I will support this man forever. God bless you, Matt Damon! THANK YOU. You don't know what that means to me.”

Fans and fellow celebrities expressed their excitement and happiness for Jericho, with many celebrating the unforgettable exchange.

In another post, Jericho shared a series of photos from "The Odyssey" premiere in Mumbai, including moments from the red carpet and behind-the-scenes snaps from the event.

Jericho, on reflecting on his unforgettable experience, said that while his mission was simply to attend the event, meet people, and take photos, getting Matt Damon’s autograph became the highlight that made it truly special.

“I feel so alive. Coming home with great stories,” he wrote.

Jericho also thanked the local distribution company for sending him to India for the premiere, writing, “Thank you, @universalpicturesph for sending me to India for @theodysseymovie’s #TheOdysseyMumbaiPremiere! What a memorable journey.”

His girlfriend, actress Janine Gutierrez, commented on the post, “So cool babu! Deserve!”

Actor Dingdong Dantes also showed his support, commenting, “Idol.” Jericho jokingly replied, “Tatlo yun bro! Ligwak ako haha.”

Aside from Damon, Jericho also met "The Odyssey" director Christopher Nolan, producer Emma Thomas, and Damon’s co-star Tom Holland during the promotional tour.
