Months after they sent the internet abuzz with their closeness, Janella Salvador and Klea Pineda opened a window into their special bond as they revealed where they stand in each other's lives on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”

Janella, 28, was asked about the meaning behind her previous statement, “I love who I love.” She explained, “Love doesn't have to be defined by anything. You just feel it. You'll just know." The actress-singer also shared that she believes in labels.

Klea, 28, meanwhile, described Janella as her “tahanan” or home, saying she calms her down and that Janella hushes the noise in her mind.

Janella, for her part, affectionately referred to Klea as her “favorite gay” and hoped that she would stay in her life.

Reflecting on their relationship, Klea said they are always there for each other and shared that she has learned a lot from Janella in ways she did not expect.

Janella, meanwhile, reflected on how both of them have grown, saying they feel like they are now “at the point in our lives wherein we’ve matured” and are focused on applying the lessons they’ve learned from their past and present lives.

Their “Open Endings" co-star Jasmin Curtis-Smith was  happy for the pair. Jasmin emphasized how important openly discussing same-sex relationships is. She acknowledged that conversations like these may still make some people uncomfortable but pointed out how significant the moment was.

"Maybe 20, 30 years ago, baka hindi nga 'to pwedeng mangyari on live TV. So imagine iyon. Ang sarap din ng feeling na umabot tayo sa ganito. On national TV, we can openly discuss same-sex relationships."

The first day of "Open Endings" was on June 10. Directed by Nigel Santos and written by Keavy Eunice Vicente, the queer dramedy  stars Janella Salvador, Klea Pineda, Jasmin Curtis-Smith, and Leanne Mamonong.

The film follows four queer women in their 30s who are also exes-turned-best-friends. Together they navigate adulthood, love, friendship, chosen families, and everything in between.

It tells a moving and refreshingly honest story about queer friendship, love, and the lingering connections that remain after relationships end.

Janella and Klea's relationship "developed"while they were working on the film last year, making their professional relationship stronger which reflected on their performance.

The two actresses were romantically linked around the same time, shortly after Klea confirmed her breakup with her ex-girlfriend, Katrice Kierulf. While some netizens initially speculated that Janella may have played a role in the breakup, both Janella and Klea publicly denied the rumors.

Since then, the two have been spotted together on out-of-town trips, at concerts, and at various events. They have also shared photos of each other and their moments together on social media.

Most recently, Klea shared an Instagram post featuring mostly solo photos and videos of Janella, with the final photo showing her hugging the actress. In the caption, Klea wrote, “Maaaring iba ang nakikita nila, pero ikaw pa rin ang paborito ng mga mata ko. Sila? Bahala sila. Basta ako? Napapahanga mo ako.”

Janella later responded in the comments: "you somehow make me feel so beautiful even on the most ordinary days. ilysmmbmlmsbb."

Netizens were quick to notice their online exchange and public display of affection, with friends and supporters wishing for their happiness.
