It's back to school for Bianca Gonzalez as she studies Psychology

TV host and model Bianca Gonzalez has a somewhat "new" project: going back to school to take up Psychology. Despite her desire to enroll, she still plans to continue with her hosting gigs.

In her recent social media post, she shared a series of “back-to-school” snaps and wrote in her caption, “Once a nerd, always a nerd. I’m a student all over again!”

Coming from a Communications and Philosophy background and working in media, the 43-year-old host said she has always been curious about Psychology, which led her to enroll in a Jungian Psychology course. 

Bianca admitted that it turned out to be more than she expected. As she put it, “Little did I know that Jungian psychology is a whole different world and that this course would be more a personal journey than an academic undertaking. Shokt (shock) ako so far.”

Her class is composed of people from diverse backgrounds and age groups, including educators, business owners, advertising executives, and humanitarians, ranging from their 30s to 70s. She said this mix has been very inspiring.

She also shared that one of her classmates is her first-ever boss at ABS-CBN, who has since become a lifelong friend. She reached out to him days before classes started to invite him, and he agreed immediately. She said she is grateful to be sharing the experience with him.

Bianca also mentioned being introduced to key Jungian concepts such as the persona, shadow, ego, personal unconscious, collective unconscious, eros, and logos, saying these ideas have been reshaping her perspective.

She credits Charo Santos-Concio who, since 2021, has encouraged her to take the course. She notes that the timing could not be better and that it finally worked out for her.

She also took the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test for the first time and, as a self-described introvert who tends to stay inside her head. She was not surprised to receive an INTJ result, a personality type characterized with Introversion, Intuition, Thinking, and Judging.

She wrapped up her post by saying how excited she was for the journey ahead and the new insights she hopes to gain.
