‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in Concert’ stages live orchestral performance in Manila

"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in Concert" comes to Manila on June 6 and 7 at The Theatre at Solaire, presenting the fourth chapter of the Wizarding World on the big screen with a live orchestral performance.

Timed with the celebration of “25 Years of Magic,” Film Concerts PH said the film concert will present the full movie in high-definition on a 40-foot screen, with a live orchestra performing the score in precise sync with the on-screen action. The film concert is part of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series, which tours cities worldwide.

According to Film Concerts PH, Filipino musical director, arranger, and conductor Gerard Salonga will lead the 92-piece Filharmonika Orchestra in performing Patrick Doyle’s acclaimed score in real time as audiences revisit one of the franchise’s most dramatic chapters.

“Come see the full film while the score is performed live by the Filharmonika Orchestra,” organizers said. The soundtrack won both the International Film Music Critics Awards (IFMCA) and the ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards for the score.

The production follows earlier Philippine editions of the concert series, which staged “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in Concert” in 2019 and “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Concert" in 2023, both held at the same venue.

Screenings are scheduled for June 6, at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and for June 7 , at 2:00 PM PHT. The full presentation will run for approximately 2 hours and 56 minutes, including a 20-minute intermission.
