Anne Curtis asks fans to shun negativity during Seoul awards voting

Anne Curtis reminded her fans to stay away from toxic online behavior amid the intense fan voting for the Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) 2026.

In a recent post on her X account, the actress and host thanked her supporters for their unwavering support and daily voting efforts while encouraging them not to engage in online negativity.

“Guys, I want to thank everyone that’s been voting for me, I see all the effort!! Specially these last few days!!

“Just a reminder to my lovely/sweethearts, don’t engage with any negativity… as far as I’ve known, my fans have a rep of having happy energy! Ka chika lahat like me. Let’s keep it that way!”

Anne urged her fans to practice the "art of dedma," emphasizing that whether she wins or loses, what matters most is enjoying the experience together.

She added, “Alam kong mahirap; but don’t let them take the sunshine away. Love you guys!! Thank you again for all the love!”

The 41-year-old is nominated for the Outstanding Asian Star award for her performance in the Philippine adaptation of “It's Okay to Not Be Okay.” The romance-psychological drama is currently streaming on Netflix.

She will reprise her role as Nina Manigan in the nine-episode Netflix action series “BuyBust: The Undesirables.” Anne will also star in the thriller film “Remote,” directed by Mikhail Red.

Fan voting through the IdolChamp app concluded on July 14, with actor Paulo Avelino topping the Philippine rankings with 43.63% of the total votes for his performance in “The Alibi.” Kim Chiu placed second, while Anne finished third.

All the winners will be announced during the awarding ceremony on October 8 at KBS Hall in Seoul, South Korea. The event will also be broadcast live on YouTube and MBC TV.
