The Washington Open women's final between Jessica Pegula and Alexandra Eala was suspended during the second set and rescheduled for Monday after rain disrupted play, while weather conditions also forced changes to the schedule at the Canadian Open in Toronto and Montreal.
The Washington final was delayed by three hours before play began on Sunday, with American Pegula winning the opening set 6-4. The Philippines' Eala was leading 2-1 in the second set when rain halted the match.
The men's final between American Taylor Fritz and Spain's Rafael Jodar was also postponed until Monday.
"Matches have been canceled for tonight. The women’s singles final will now take place at 12:00 p.m. tomorrow. The men’s singles final will take place not before 1:00 p.m. tomorrow," tournament organizers said in a social media post.
Rain also affected the Canadian Open, which runs from Aug. 1-14, with the women's tournament being held in Toronto and the men's event taking place in Montreal.
In Toronto, play on the Grandstand court was suspended during the match between Poland's Magdalena Frech and France's Leolia Jeanjean. Officials later canceled all remaining matches scheduled for the night.
"All matches have been canceled for tonight. Sunny skies in our future. Action resumes tomorrow," organizers said.
In Montreal, daytime matches were postponed because of rain before the evening session was called off.
