Mike Tomlin signs with agency ahead of potential media talks

Former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is preparing for a second career in television, having signed a deal with sports media agents, according to multiple reports.

Front Office Sports reported Tuesday that Tomlin’s agreement is with the Montag Group. Sports agent Sandy Montag and former sportscaster Alex Flanagan are expected to represent him in discussions with networks and streaming platforms.

Tomlin, who turned 54 earlier this month, is likely to attract interest from multiple outlets this offseason. He stepped down as Steelers coach following the 2025-26 season after 19 consecutive seasons without a losing record.

The Super Bowl XLIII-winning coach finished his tenure in Pittsburgh with a 193-114-2 record, tying Hall of Famer Chuck Noll for ninth place in NFL regular-season wins and sharing the top spot on the Steelers’ all-time chart.

In the 2025 season, Tomlin led Pittsburgh to a 10-7 record, ending with a 30-6 wild-card playoff loss to the Houston Texans on Jan. 12.

The Steelers replaced Tomlin with Mike McCarthy in late January, signing the Pittsburgh native despite his not coaching in the NFL in 2025. McCarthy previously compiled a 49-35 record with Dallas from 2020-24 and a 125-77-2 record with Green Bay, including one Super Bowl title, from 2006-18.
