Some of the world's best cliff divers gathered at a Bosnian waterfall on Saturday (August 8) for a heart-stopping test of courage and skill.
The annual International Waterfall Jumping Competition in Jajce challenges divers to leap from the 22-metre (72 ft) Pliva Waterfall.
This year, the event is also a refreshing break from a prolonged spell on hot, dry weather in the Balkans.
"In this hot weather, when everyone is looking for a refreshing escape, nothing compares to this waterfall," said spectator Seherzada Rizvic.
For the competitors, the contest is a chance to show off their technique and nerve surrounded by spectacular scenery.
This year's winner, Bosnian competitor Igor Arsenic, described it as "one of the most beautiful" diving spots in the world.
