Cosplayers and families gathered in Santiago on Saturday (October 17) for the city’s annual zombie walk, transforming downtown streets into a Halloween celebration of creativity and costume design.
Participants said the event offers a family-friendly space where people can express themselves freely through elaborate zombie costumes and props.
Fernando Monserrat, dressed as the protagonist from HBO’s “The Last of Us,” said he was impressed by the variety of homemade zombie costumes on display.
Meanwhile, Carla Leon noted the event’s inclusive atmosphere, saying it welcomes people from all backgrounds to celebrate their creativity together.
The Zombie Walk phenomenon began in Sacramento, California in 2001. Since then, the event has spread to major cities around the world including New York, Buenos Aires, Bogota, Singapore, Sao Paulo and Frankfurt.
