Vogue launches 'United Flags of Fashion' installation at Rockefeller Center

Vogue and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) unveiled "America250: United Flags of Fashion" on Monday (July 27), an installation in New York celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Leading designers including Michael Kors, Tory Burch and Vera Wang created over 120 original flags influenced by each of the states and territories of the United States.

Led by Chief Content Officer for Conde Nast and the Global Editorial Director of Vogue, Anna Wintour, CFDA Chief Executive Steven Kolb and CFDA Chairman Thom Browne, the unveiling ceremony featured the flags displayed on poles surrounding the Rockefeller Center's rink.

The flags will fly above the landmark from July 27 through September 4.
