PH Senate honors Filipino dance crews for 5-medal haul at 2026 World Hip Hop Dance Championship

The Philippine Senate on Tuesday (September 8, , adopted Senate Resolution No. 591, celebrating five elite Filipino dance crews for their stellar performance at the 2026 World Hip Hop Dance Championship in Phoenix, Arizona.

Author and sponsor Senator Bam Aquino highlighted the team's impressive five-medal harvest, noting that the triumph underscores the massive global potential of the Philippines' creative sector and proves that Filipino talent consistently thrives on the international stage.

The Senate formally recognized the following dance crews for their victories:

Femme MNL – Gold Medal, Megacrew Division

HQ – Gold Medal, Adult Division

The Crew – Silver Medal, Megacrew Division

Folk Jumpers – Bronze Medal, Adult Division

Sayawatha Jr. – Bronze Medal, Junior Division

Aquino commended the dancers for demonstrating artistic excellence and serving as a powerful beacon of hope for the nation’s youth.

"Our Filipino dance crews showed the world what our people can achieve when given the opportunity to shine," Aquino stated. "They represent the dedication, talent, and sheer excellence of the Filipino spirit. This achievement is proof that when it comes to the arts, our artists can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the world's best.
