'Knicks in five!' fans celebrate team's first NBA championship since 1973 in New York

New York Knicks fans thronged the streets shouting "Knicks in five!" as they celebrated their team's first NBA championship since 1973, beating the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 in Game 5 on Saturday (June 13).

The Knicks closed out the best-of-seven NBA Finals in five games. Knicks' Jalen Brunson scored a game-high 45 points and was named Finals MVP. Fans acknowledged his contribution by carrying cut-out images of him and shouting his name.

Comebacks have been the theme for the Knicks this series as they rallied from double-digit deficits in all four of their Finals victories on the way to their first championship in 53 years.
