Taxi drivers warned on overcharging during peak holiday season

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board on Saturday (Oct. 24, 2026) warns taxi drivers against overcharging during the peak travel season for #Undas2026.

Acting LTFRB Chairperson Greg Pua Jr. said violations of regulations on fare overcharging, snubbing and disrespecting commuters could lead to the suspension or cancellation of the Certificate of Public Convenience and other penalties.

The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange expects some 1.9 million passengers, the same estimate of the Philippine Ports Authority in ports nationwide.

Passengers are also expected to flock to provincial bus terminals in Quezon City, Manila, Pasay City, Caloocan City and Muntinlupa. Froilan Hernandez Jr./PNA
