Tropical cyclone Maymay has weakened into a low pressure area, the weather bureau said on Friday.

No wind signal is hoisted on any part of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geohysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

However, most of the country will continue experiencing strong to gale-force gusts due to the southwest monsoon or habagat.

Gale warning is in effect over the seaboard of extreme Northern Luzon.

Meanwhile, habagat will bring heavy rainfall across most of Luzon, PAGASA said.
