The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday (July 2, 2026) said several areas across the country are expected to experience rain caused by the southwest monsoon (Habagat).
The provinces of Palawan and Occidental Mindoro are expected to experience scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the habagat.
Moderate to heavy rains may occur, which could result in flash floods or landslides, according to a report of the Philippine News Agency.
The southwest monsoon (habagat) is expected to bring isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to the Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Tawi-Tawi, and Antique.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will also experience isolated rain showers due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
According to their report, the western section of Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas.
In other areas, winds are expected to be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.
