Fair weather, isolated rain showers expected across PH on October 27

Most parts of the country will experience fair weather with isolated rain showers on Tuesday.

“We are not monitoring any weather disturbance inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is no longer affecting the country,” Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather specialist Veronica Torres said.

The northeasterly windflow affecting northern Luzon will bring light rains to Batanes, Cagayan and Isabela, as well as isolated light rains to the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley. No significant impact is expected.

“The prevailing northeasterly windflow is a sign that the amihan season is near,” Torres said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Extreme northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate, with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. -Cristina Arayata/Philippine News Agency
