Death toll from June 8 Mindanao earthquake now at 68 — OCD
The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Tuesday said three more deaths from the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Maasim, Sarangani are being confirmed, bringing the total death toll to 68.

The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) on Tuesday said three more deaths from the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Maasim, Sarangani are being confirmed, bringing the total death toll to 68.
According to a report of the Philippine News Agency (PNA), OCD public information officer Diego Mariano provided the following breakdown of deaths from the June 8 calamity:
Region 11 (Davao Region), 11 and
Region 12 (Soccskargen), 57.
Meanwhile, 33 individuals remain missing:
- Region 11: 16 persons (all in Davao Occidental), and
- Region 12: 17 persons (15 in Sarangani and 2 in South Cotabato).
The estimated damage to infrastructure is P 1.07 billion while damage to agriculture is placed at P29.8 million, Mariano said.
On the other hand, in its situational updates the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said the number of injured persons was placed at 1,339 from Regions 11, 12, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The number of damaged houses are 67,990, including:
55,603 classified as "partially damaged," and
12,387 as "totally damaged."
The number of affected families was 337,541.
