Zaijian Jaranilla spotted with Gela Atayde’s family amid romance rumors

Zaijian Jaranilla and Gela Atayde have sparked more relationship rumors after photos online showed the couple spending time with Gela’s family.

On March 30, Gela’s mother, veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez, posted photos from her anniversary celebration with her husband, businessman Art Atayde.

“Thank you, kiddos, for surprising us last night. Love you all! Happy Anniversary again, my husband Art—pangit! Love you the most!” Sylvia wrote on Instagram.

Fans quickly noticed Zaijian among the attendees, with netizens pointing out some of his photos, particularly those with him  sleeping soundly on a couch while Sylvia took a selfie with him. 

Sylvia and Zaijian are not really strangers to each other. They have previously worked together on series like Senior High and I’m Perfect.

Sylvia’s husband, children, and in-laws were tagged in the post.  Interestingly, Zaijian was the only one who is not a family member who was also tagged.

Dating rumors about Zaijian and Gela were have been circulating, with the two being spotted together on different occasions. When asked about their relationship status earlier this month, Zaijian simply replied, "Secret."

Also present at the family celebration were Ria Atayde, her husband, actor Zanjoe Marudo, and their son. Actor-politician Arjo Atayde and his wife, television host and actress Maine Mendoza, were also present. Breakup rumors have been hounding Arjo and Maine after Maine was absent at a previous family event.

Zaijian, 24, and Gela, 23, previously worked together on the television series Senior High and High Street. Gela is currently part of the cast for the upcoming romantic series Someone, Someday alongside James Reid and Kathryn Bernardo.

Meanwhile, Zaijian stars in the crime thriller The Silent Noise with Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo, which is currently streaming on Prime Video. 

In 2009, Zaijian portrayed Santino, a young boy who had an encounter with Jesus Christ in May Bukas Pa, one of the highest-rated TV shows in the Philippines. His portrayal brought him widespread recognition.
