V appeals to BTS fans for privacy during ‘ARIRANG’ Tour

The grind of performing  in the “ARIRANG” world tour and BTS' need for privacy have pushed V to request fans to stop visiting  the hotels the group is staying at.

He posted the message on July 1 through Weverse Moment, an online fan platform. V thanked their fandom known as ARMY for the warm welcome.  He then politely asked them not to go to the group’s hotel, in a translated report from The Chosun Daily.

The 30-year-old said he prefers to keep accommodation details private, noting that such visits could affect his performance. He also asked for their understanding and cooperation. 

V said that during tours, he values simple moments like trying local restaurants and walking around the city, and hopes there will be no further hotel visits moving forward.

Alongside his message, V posted a screenshot of his sleep data showing he only got 2 hours and 27 minutes of sleep, including 21 minutes of REM sleep and 37 minutes of deep sleep. These indicated his exhaustion during the tour stop in Brussels, where BTS  performed on July 1 and 2.

His request also comes as the group’s agency, BigHit Music, continues to strengthen legal action against privacy violations. 

The agency recently announced that a court found a suspect guilty of trespassing and stalking after the individual spent about three months in detention. The defendant was handed a one-year suspended prison sentence with two years of probation.

BigHit Music reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward privacy violations, stressing that activities like loitering outside artists' residences, waiting for them, or leaving gifts without consent are considered criminal offenses rather than expressions of fan support. The agency added that it will continue to pursue legal action against anyone who unlawfully targets its artists.

Meanwhile, BTS is deep in their “ARIRANG” world tour, which began in South Korea in April and has already expanded to Europe, including recent shows in Madrid and Brussels. 

The tour spans more than 30 regions, with upcoming stops in London, Munich, and Paris later in July, before continuing on to the Americas and Asia.
