Sitti celebrates a September Christmas with Jose Mari Chan, The CompanY

Christmas came early on “Sitti Lite" as Bossa Nova Queen Sitti Navarro welcomed  Jose Mari Chan and The CompanY for a special holiday episode.

The nearly 50-minute episode, “An Early Christmas Treat,” premiered on September 1 on Sitti’s official YouTube channel, brings together classic Filipino Christmas songs, nostalgic OPM favorites, and special collaborations.

Sitti kicked off the celebration with beloved Filipino Christmas tunes like “Payapang Daigdig,” “Sa May Bahay,” “Pasko Na Naman,” and “Paskong Ano’ng Saya.” She followed these with a more sentimental set of “Pasko Na Sinta Ko,” “Sana Ngayong Pasko,” and “Nakaraang Pasko.”

After her opening set, Sitti welcomed The CompanY. The group performed “Noche Buena,” a Christmas song composed in 1965 by National Artist for Music Felipe Padilla de León, with lyrics by National Artist Levi Celerio.

The holiday mood was in full swing as Sitti, The CompanY, and Jose Mari Chan came together for two Christmas classics: "The Christmas Song," popularized by The King Cole Trio, and Chan’s iconic “Christmas in Our Hearts.”

The episode also featured a nostalgic revisit of some of The CompanY’s hits, including “Baka Ikaw,” “Sana Nga (Ikaw Na),” “Muntik Na Kitang Minahal,” “Everlasting Love,” “Pakisabi Na Lang,” and “Now That I Have You.”

Another memorable moment came when Sitti joined Chan for his popular romantic song “Please Be Careful With My Heart.”

The collaboration fulfilled a long-held dream for Sitti, who thanked her “Tito Joe” and The CompanY for joining her and sharing their timeless songs with her and the audience.

“To Sir Moy Ortiz, Teacher Sweet Plantado-Tiongson, Teacher Annie Quintos-Uy, and OJ Mariano of The CompanY, and to Tito Jose Mari Chan, THANK YOU for making my Christmas dream come true.”
