After the huge success of Netflix’s live-action One Piece, the streamer has returned with a second season, bringing back fan-favorite characters and introducing some exciting new faces.

All eight episodes of One Piece: Into the Grand Line Season 2 dropped on Netflix yesterday, March 10. The series, based on Eiichiro Oda’s legendary manga and anime, follows Captain Monkey D. Luffy, played by Mexican actor Iñaki Godoy, 22, and his Straw Hat crew as they navigate the dangerous Grand Line.

Along the way, they face powerful villains, explore bizarre islands, and chase the ultimate treasure, all while Luffy works toward his dream of becoming the King of the Pirates.

Season 2 covers key story arcs from the manga, taking the crew into even more adventurous territories. Returning stars from the first season include American actors Emily Rudd (Nami) and Jacob Romero (Usopp), Japanese-American actor Mackenyu (Zoro), Australian actor Morgan Davies (Koby), and Spanish-British actor and screenwriter Taz Skylar (Sanji).

This season ramps up the adventure, with the crew encountering new allies, formidable foes, and some of the manga’s most iconic characters.

New cast members include American actor David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, British-Indian actress Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Russian-German model and actress Lera Abova as Nico Robin, and American actress Mikaela Hoover, who voices Tony Tony Chopper.

Season 2 is winning over both critics and fans. It currently holds a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes and received a 9/10 rating from IGN, which praised the show's outstanding visuals and character portrayals.

Netflix confirmed that One Piece will return for Season 3, but a release date has yet to be announced.
