Josh Cullen of SB19 traded the concert stage for the baseball field as he threw the ceremonial first pitch before the Major League Baseball (MLB) matchup between the Chicago White Sox and the New York Yankees at Rate Field in Chicago on Thursday.
Cullen shared photos of himself at the ballpark on social media and wrote, "From stage to the field. Thank you for having me, @whitesox."
‘Kings of P-Pop’ SB19 also celebrated the moment on the group's official social media pages. "It was an honor to represent the Philippines once again, this time on a different stage as the first pitch field representative for SB19," the group said.
"Thank you, White Sox, for the incredible opportunity and warm welcome!" they added.
Cullen, the oldest member of SB19, joined the list of Filipino personalities who have thrown the ceremonial first pitch at an MLB game, including boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, Olympic gymnast Aleah Finnegan, actress Liza Soberano, and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
On Friday, July 31, SB19 made history as the first Filipino group to perform on Lollapalooza's Allianz Stage at Grant Park in Chicago. The P-pop act performed several of their hit songs and gave fans a live performance of "Lawless," their newest single released on the same day.

The group will then head to Japan for performances at Summer Sonic on August 14 and 15 before wrapping up their overseas tour with another "I Was There Thanksgiving" fan meet on August 18.
