Sandara Park to take part in PH event this November

Sandara Park will return to Manila on November 7 for a brand event which also features James Reid at the  Mall of Asia in Pasay City. Filipino girl group YGIG will also perform.

The “Pambansang Krung Krung” shared the event poster on her X account.  “Yeah hey!! Babalik ako sa Manila,” she wrote in the caption.

The announcement riled up many of her Filipino fans who are looking forward to seeing her again. Some commented, “See you,” while others asked whether the event would be free or if it will require tickets. The event will take place just five days before Sandara’s birthday on November 12.

The Korean actress-singer continues to show her love for the Philippines through her social media posts that reflect her close connection to Filipinos.

In one post, she recounted that while walking along Orchard Road in Singapore, she spotted a Jollibee store. She then decided to have dinner there. Even though she wore a mask in the restaurant, Filipino fans instantly recognized her.

“Naglalakad ako kanina sa may Orchard and nakita ko ang Jollibee! Nagulat ako!! Sabi ko ito na ung dinner ko! So pumasok ako para mag order, at nakilala ako ng mga kababayan ko kahit nakamask ako! at nag group pic kami hehehe,” she shared.

She followed the post with an emotional yet humorous reflection on her bond with the Philippines.

“Kasi minahal ako nang todo ng Pilipinas nung bata pa ako. Nung wala pa akong alam sa showbiz, wala pa akong friends at wala pa akong alam sa mundo. The Philippines raised me and changed my life. Hindi kaya Pilipina talaga ako sa past life ko?!”

Sandara also shared a selfie with Anne Curtis whom she met at the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. The race was held from October 9 to 11 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

“With the goddess Anne Curtis!!” Sandara captioned the photo. Anne later reposted the selfie, writing, “With the beautiful, ageless pambansang krung krung Sandara Park!! Was so nice seeing you and making chika.”

Sandara rose to fame in the Philippines in 2004, appearing in movies, TV, and commercials before achieving international success as a member of the K-pop group 2NE1.

She remains a beloved celebrity among Filipino fans, who continue to follow her journey and celebrate her as their own.
