Ryzza Mae Dizon recreates Toph Beifong's earthbending poses from ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’

From her viral "resume photo" to her resemblance to Toph Beifong, “Eat Bulaga" host Ryzza Mae Dizon took a trip down memory lane in a recently released video of Netflix Philippines, where she rated old photos and recreated the Earthbender's iconic poses.

In the clip, the 21-year-old looked back at some of her most iconic photos and rated each one. Among the photos she reviewed was her iconic 1×1 ID picture, which became a viral online meme called the “resume photo.”

“Head and shoulder, after ng ulo, shoulder agad!” she joked. She gave the photo a perfect 10 out of 10, adding, “Dahil meron na po siyang 21 years of experience,” continuing the joke about it being a resume photo.

She also rated a childhood picture of herself wearing a Chinese-inspired outfit. “Hindi ninyo kaya iyong bangs kong pantay na pantay. Ni Hao Ma ang atake niya.” Ryzza gave the photo a 9 out of 10.

Another photo showed her during her senior high school graduation. “Ire-rate ko ito ng 10 out of 10 dahil naka-graduate siya,” she said while referring to her own photo.

The throwback session took an unexpected turn when the fourth image shown was no longer a photo of her but Toph Beifong from live action series “Avatar: The Last Airbender.”

At first, Ryzza appeared confused and said, “Teka, ako ba 'to? Nag-ganitong costume ba ako before? May bangs pa siguro ako dito noong ginawa ko ito? Teka lang po Team Ryzza. Parang nalilito ako.”

“Para ma-confirm, ta-try natin gayahin iyong posing.” She then recreated Toph's earthbending poses from the series. Dizon later realized that the character shown was the fan-favorite Earthbender, 

“Okay guys, ito iyong lagi akong tina-tag, mine-mention, si Toph ito ng Avatar: The Last Airbender,” she said. She said she now understood why many people think they look alike, pointing to their eyes and bangs as the similarities.

“Lalo na po dito sa isang picture niya. As in. Noong nakita ko iyang picture niyang iyan pati ako nalito.” She gave Toph's photo a perfect 10 out of 10.

The comparison between Ryzza and Toph has become a recurring joke among Filipino netizens. Many fans of the actress-host have embraced the resemblance, while also praising her for being cute and kind.

The comparison started when the streaming platform unveiled Miya Cech as Toph Beifong for "Avatar" Season 2. Netizens then playfully flooded social media with posts congratulating Ryzza Mae, as if she herself landed the role.
