Oyo Boy Sotto, Kristine Hermosa reveal why they don't work with their exes

Celebrity couple Oyo Boy Sotto and Kristine Hermosa have drawn a clear line when it comes to their marriage: neither of them can  work with an ex again. They stand by their personal conviction that helps protect their relationship.

During their conversation with Dina Bonnevie and Danica Sotto on the vlog series “House of D,” the couple shared their thoughts on staying friends with an ex.

Oyo admitted that working with an ex can be risky. "Actually mahirap kahit sa showbiz, lalo na sa showbiz mas mahirap."

He acknowledged that avoiding former partners can be difficult in the entertainment industry, where fans often ask why exes do not reunite for projects, insisting that it's "just work."

“Buti na nga lang kami ni Tin, we both agree and it's our own personal conviction na ayaw na naming makatrabaho din iyong mga ex namin. Kasi number one, it's dangerous. Syempre, kung lagyan kayo ng bed scene, kissing scene." Kristine added, "Lambingan..."

Oyo said he would not be comfortable seeing his wife in romantic scenes with another man. "For me, it's a no-no." Kristine agreed and said their decision is simply about protecting their relationship.

The 42-year-old actress was previously in high-profile relationships with actors Jericho Rosales and Diether Ocampo, although neither she nor Oyo mentioned any of their former partners by name during the conversation.

The conversation also touched on how they deal with their exes in real life.

Dina, a veteran actress and Oyo's mother, asked him what he would do if he unexpectedly ran into one of Kristine's former boyfriends. Oyo revealed that they still cross paths with some of her exes and sees no reason to ignore them. "Bakit mo naman hindi papansinin?"

When Dina asked if they simply keep things civil, Kristine replied that there's no bad blood between them and anyone.

The 64-year-old also asked Kristine what she would say if she met one of her exes. ‘Wala, eh, friends naman kami dati eh,” Kristine said.

The actress explained that they used to be friends, but they no longer see or talk to each other because they no longer work on the same projects.

Kristine and Oyo have been married since January 2011 and have six children together. They adopted their eldest son, Kiel, before tying the knot.
