MOMOLAND has canceled its upcoming 10th anniversary fan concert in Manila.

The K-pop girl group’s “10th Anniversary FAN-CON [Very Merry Party],” which was scheduled on August 8 at the EVM Convention Center’s FYM Hall in Quezon City, will no longer push through due to what organizers described as “unforeseen circumstances beyond control.”

Three Angles Production announced the cancellation in a statement, apologizing to fans who were excited to celebrate the milestone with the group.

“We would like to extend our apologies to everyone who has been looking forward to sharing this special anniversary with MOMOLAND in Manila,” the organizer said.

The organizer also thanked Filipino Merries, MOMOLAND’s fan community, for their continued support and understanding.

“We are truly grateful for the understanding and support of the Filipino Merries. Although we are unable to celebrate together this time, we remain hopeful for the opportunity to meet again in the future,” the organizer added.

Refunds for purchased tickets will be handled by Megatix Asia. Ticket holders will receive an email containing refund instructions and the timeline for the process.

The cancellation comes just weeks after MOMOLAND announced their return to Manila as part of their 10th anniversary celebrations. The fan concert would have marked the group’s first fan event in the Philippines since resuming activities.

MOMOLAND’s canceled event also coincided with another Manila schedule change involving “The King’s Warden” star Park Ji-hoon. He was originally set to hold a fan concert in Manila on the same date, August 8, but his agency later announced that the event would be relocated to Macau due to “unavoidable circumstances.”

It was the second time Park Ji-hoon’s Manila appearance was canceled, following the cancellation of a brand-sponsored event in March.

MOMOLAND gained a strong following among Filipino K-pop fans after their 2018 hit “Bboom Bboom” became a viral sensation in the Philippines. Their last visit to Manila was in 2022 for the K-pop “Friendship Day & Night” event at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
