Moira dela Torre denies involvement in Sam Milby, Catriona Gray breakup

Moira dela Torre has finally addressed the rumors linking her to the breakup of actor-singer Sam Milby and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, firmly denying that she had anything to do with their split.

“Walang katotohanan. Hindi po ako third party kay Kuya Sam at kay Cat,” the singer said in an interview.

The “Malaya” singer admitted that she was upset about being linked to the controversy, especially because of her close relationship with Sam.

The allegations were particularly confusing for her because she has always regarded the actor as an older brother, even calling him “Kuya.”

“Iba po 'yung ma-issue ka sa ibang lalaki. Pero 'yung mai-issue ka sa Kuya mo… hindi ko po alam kung bakit,” she said.

Moira, 32, and Sam, 42, were once close friends. In a previous appearance on” Toni Talks,” Moira shared that they had even lived together at Sam’s condo. At the time, they were both living on their own in the city while their families were far away. Sam also gave Moira a guitar as a gift.

Their friendship eventually became strained, however. Sam previously said that he and Moira were no longer friends. Moira admitted that Sam’s statement hurt her.

Despite being dragged into the controversy, Moira said she knows what happened between Sam and Catriona but has chosen not to reveal the details out of respect for both of them.

She reiterated that she was not involved in their breakup and added that there was no third party between Sam and Catriona.

Meanwhile, Moira is gearing up for her upcoming concert, “Where It All Started,” which is scheduled for October 4 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
