During a recent  radio segment appearance in "Banana Krew", actor Miguel Vergara shared an anecdote on working with Angel Locsin. He was interviewed by hosts DJ Jhai Ho and DJ Chloe yesterday, March 30.

Miguel’s first major acting project was the 2012 drama film One More Try, where he starred alongside Angel Locsin and Dingdong Dantes. He played Botchok, the sickly son of Dantes and Locsin’s characters. He was just five years old at the time.

Recalling his experience, Miguel, 18, shared, "May story po ako dun.

Two hours akong umiiyak doon.

He concluded,  “Ever since po noon, kapag may eksena ako, palagi akong may toy.

Angel Locsin, 40, is known for her philanthropy and humanitarian work, earning the nickname “Real-Life Darna” for her quick response to calamities and support for marginalized communities. She has been recognized for taking a hands-on approach in providing aid during times of crisis.

According to IMDb, Miguel’s debut performance in One More Try earned him Best Child Actor at the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) and the 2013 FAMAS Awards, while Locsin won as FAMAS Best Actress for the same film.

Dantes received the MMFF Best Actor award for his role. The film also won Best Film and received several other awards at the 2012 MMFF.

Following his successful debut, Miguel has since appeared in other films and TV shows such as Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala, Halik sa Hangin, Just the Way You Are and Lavender Fields.
