Michael V. takes over as 'Family Feud' host from Dingdong Dantes

Michael V. is stepping in as the new host of “Family Feud” beginning September 17 as Dingdong Dantes takes a break from the weekday program.

Dingdong announced the change during Wednesday’s episode, revealing that the 56-year-old actor and comedian would be taking over the show while he focuses on his other TV commitments.

“Habang wala po ako sa programa, sasamahan muna kayo ng isa sa mga iniidolo, iginagalang, at minamahal ko, at minamahal natin, si Mr. Michael V.,” Dingdong said. “Kuya Bitoy, Idol Bitoy, ikaw na muna ang bahala sa studio.”

The hosting stint gives Michael V., also known as Bitoy, an opportunity to showcase his trademark humor and decades of experience in entertaining Filipino audiences.

Dingdong, 46, explained that his break would help him prepare for the upcoming tapings of “The Master Cutter,” while also hosting “The Voice Kids.”

Despite stepping away from “Family Feud,”  Dingdong assured viewers that his absence is only temporary and promised to return soon.

“Babalik po ako. Very, very soon,” he said.

“Survey says, si Michael V. Ang makakasama niyo gabi-gabi, dito lang sa Family Feud.”

For now, the “Bubble Gang” and “Pepito Manaloto” star takes the helm of “Family Feud.”
