Maxie Andreison apologizes after old altercation video resurfaces

“Drag Race Philippines” Season 3 winner Maxie Andreison has issued a public apology after a video from three years ago resurfaced online showing her in a physical confrontation with another person.

During a recent TikTok Live, Maxie, 27, addressed the issue directly and said she regretted how she handled the situation.

“Ako po ay nag-live ngayon dahil merong kumakalat na video ko three years ago. May nasaktan ako at mali talaga ako dun. Mali talaga ako dun.”

Maxie, whose real name is Jayvhot Andreison Galang, wished she had handled everything more calmly and wisely.

She clarified that after the incident, all parties involved had already talked, apologized to each other, and moved on long before the video resurfaced.

The viral clip circulating online shows a physical altercation involving Maxie and an individual. Reports claim one of Maxie's companions slapped the person who is said to be Maxie’s fan.  Maxie also slapped and kicked the individual.

Online statements also allege the incident happened after a bar performance, when the fan accidentally pulled off her wig while taking a photo. Maxie did not detail what triggered the confrontation but did not deny responsibility for her actions.

“After that incident, nag-usap na kami agad. Nakapag sorry na ako. And nag-sorry na rin sila and nakapag patawaran na kami sa isa't isa and we moved on.”

The Drag artist said she has since learned from the experience and is now being guided by people around her to avoid repeating the same mistakes. “Buti na lang ngayon e may nagga-guide sa akin na mga tao. Ayoko nang maulit iyon.”

She reiterated that she is not trying to defend herself and fully accepts accountability, adding that she regrets the incident deeply.

Maxie also addressed the public's reaction, saying she understands why the video is being discussed. “Bubog sa akin iyong nangyari na iyon. Alam ko na kakalat talaga iyong video na iyon… kasi mali talaga ako doon.”

She also hoped that it would be the last time she would be in a similar predicament. “Pasensya po at na-disappoint kayo. Sana hindi na mangyari iyon ulit sakin, sa atin,” she said.

Maxie added a reflective note about the timing, mentioning “Pride Month” and her desire to improve moving forward. “Hanggang ngayon pinapangaralan pa rin ako… Ang dami ko nang nagawang kasalanang ngayong Pride Month…”

Before ending her TikTok Live, she concluded it with another apology, “Pasensya na po ulit.”

Before the controversy resurfaced, Maxie recently made headlines after being announced as part of the cast of "Die Beautiful: The Musical," where she will portray Trisha Echevarria, the lead role of the iconic transgender pageant queen originally played by Paolo Ballesteros in the film.
