Marian Rivera has been recognized by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) as one of Mandaluyong City's top taxpayers during the first semester of 2026.

The 42-year-old actress was presented with a plaque during a recognition ceremony on October 1. The award named her one of BIR Revenue District Office (RDO) Number 41’s “Natatanging Taxpayers.”

“RDO 41–Mandaluyong City proudly honors Ms. Marian Rivera as one of its Natatanging Taxpayers for her valuable contribution to nation-building through responsible tax compliance,” the BIR said.

The agency also emphasized the importance of paying taxes responsibly, saying, “Bawat pisong ibinabayad sa buwis ay may ambag sa mas magandang kinabukasan.”

The RDO likewise thanked Marian for being a responsible taxpayer and for serving as an example to others.

“Maraming salamat, Ms. Marian, sa pagiging inspirasyon, huwaran, at katuwang sa pagbuo ng mas maunlad na komunidad,” it added.

Photos shared by the agency showed Marian receiving the plaque from BIR officials. She later posted photos from the recognition ceremony on social media, including snapshots of herself posing in her event outfit and pictures of the plaque she received.

The BIR did not disclose how much Marian paid in taxes.

The recognition adds to Marian’s long history of being listed among notable Filipino taxpayers. She previously appeared on BIR lists of leading individual taxpayers, including in 2008.

In 2009, Marian reportedly ranked 62nd after paying around P10.12 million in taxes. She remained among the country’s top individual taxpayers the following year. In 2014, she appeared on the list again, reportedly after paying approximately P19 million in taxes.
