Marco Gallo comforts emotional Heaven Peralejo at ‘Our Yesterday’s Escape’ launch

“The Rain in España” stars Marco Gallo and Heaven Peralejo shared a touching moment during the launch of “Our Yesterday’s Escape” on Wednesday, July 29, at Gateway Mall Cubao in Quezon City.

Heaven became emotional while recalling their journey as part of the Viva One family, prompting Marco to comfort her by gently patting her back and giving her a quick hug. The sweet gesture drew cheers and warm reactions from the crowd.

“Of course, we want to make this successful. So, noong mga una pa lang, like…” Heaven said before becoming emotional.

After Marco comforted her, Heaven wiped her tears and continued sharing how much effort they poured into the project from the early days of local streaming.

Heaven looked back on their humble beginnings with Viva One, sharing how they started with mall shows and experienced moments when only a few people showed up.

Despite the challenges, she said they continued to encourage each other by saying, “Kaya natin ito. Kakanta tayo,” until they eventually saw their audience grow and their hard work pay off.

Heaven also admitted that she was not yet ready to say goodbye to the journey they built together with their castmates and supporters. “Nakagawa tayo ng memories sa isa’t isa. So, hindi lang ako ready na matapos lang ito,” she said.

The actress expressed her sadness as “The University Series” nears its ending. Marco and Heaven starred in the franchise’s first installment, and their appearance at the event confirmed that their fan-favorite “LuKal” tandem will reprise their roles and help close the series franchise.

“Our Yesterday’s Escape” serves as the sixth and final installment of “The University Series.” The upcoming series will be led by Nicole Omillo and Jairus Aquino, with the story focusing on the romance between their characters Kierra and Shan.

Since Kierra is one of Luna’s closest friends in the girls’ circle, Luna (Heaven) and Kalix (Marco) return to support their friend group as part of the finale.

The project also marks a professional reunion for Heaven and Marco. Following their 2025 real-life breakup, the two reunited on-screen to give fans a proper conclusion to their beloved characters’ story.

They first became friends and “Pinoy Big Brother” alums before becoming a public couple in late 2024. They later confirmed their breakup amicably in July 2025.

“Our Yesterday’s Escape” premieres on September 5 on Viva One.
