Lovi Poe admitted feeling nervous and intimidated while filming the Hollywood action-comedy “Bad Man,” where she starred alongside Seann William Scott, Johnny Simmons, and Chance Perdomo in his final film role.

During her guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the 35-year-old actress recalled what it was like to work on an American film set.

“When I shot this movie called Bad Man, nakakakaba kasi nakaka-intimidate. First, lahat ng mga tinitingala kong artista nandun. Si Seann William Scott, Chance Perdomo, Johnny Simmons, nakaka-starstruck,” she said.

“Tapos, kailangan buong-buo pa iyong English mo. So, nakaka-intimidate,” Poe admitted.

Despite the nerves, Poe said the experience was enjoyable and gave her a different perspective on working in Hollywood.

“Masarap ‘yung pakiramdam kasi iba ‘yung ways nila."

While there were differences in how they approached filmmaking, Poe noted that the overall process was still familiar to her.

“It's still the same as well kung paano tayo mag film,” she explained. “Siguro, it's just more of like ‘yung comfort zone mo. Syempre, dito, nakakasalamuha ko na iyong mga tao. Kilala ko. Pero doon, bago lahat.”

According to her, that experience was not always easy. Poe admitted that there were moments when she questioned why she was pushing herself beyond her comfort zone.

“Ba't ko ba ito ginagawa sa sarili ko?’ Na happy naman ako kung nasaan ako, pero I keep pushing myself sa limit.”

Despite the doubts, Poe considers the experience worthwhile.

“But it's nice. It's a great experience. It's a lot of learnings talaga. Kailangan mong matuto every time.”

Poe also shared a line she had read that resonated with her: “The moment that you're the most interesting person in the room, you're in the wrong room.”

She clarified that she was not saying she was the most interesting person in the room. Rather, she said the idea reflects the value of being around people she looks up to and learning from them.

Poe also revealed that she was four months postpartum when she filmed “Bad Man.” Meanwhile, she was five months pregnant while shooting another film, “The Sacrifice,” in the Philippines with an American actor. Filipino actress Max Collins is also part of the cast.

The actress added that “The Sacrifice” is especially meaningful to her because she and her husband produced the film.

Poe is also set to star in another Hollywood project “Ignition,” a thriller directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker James Erskine.
