'Lovely Runner' star Song Ji-ho, singer-actress Kim So-ri to get married this October

Lovely Runner actor Song Ji-ho is tying the knot this month with his longtime girlfriend, singer-actress Kim So-ri.

The couple personally shared the news on October 6 through handwritten letters posted to their respective Instagram accounts, accompanied by photos from their wedding photoshoot showing Kim in an elegant gown alongside Song.

Song, 34, best known for playing Im Geum—the main character's endearingly protective brother—in the hit K-drama Lovely Runner, expressed deep gratitude to his partner and fans alike. Reflecting on their long-standing relationship, he shared that the pair had stood by each other through thick and thin.

“I have met someone with whom I can feel entirely at ease and happy, even in our simplest moments, and we want to build a life together,” Song wrote. He also took a moment to thank his supporters, noting that he often re-reads fan messages from difficult times to draw strength and comfort. “I will never forget the love you have given me. I promise to keep striving to become a better person and actor.”

Kim, 36, shared a heartfelt letter of her own, admitting that making the announcement still felt somewhat surreal. Expressing gratitude to those who have followed her career since her debut, she recalled how much joy she always felt when fans shared their own life milestones with her—making her all the more grateful to finally share hers.

Reflecting on her journey, Kim revealed that Song embodies everything she had always hoped for in a life partner: “He is someone who brings joy just by being present and who truly knows how to appreciate the small things. He makes life feel beautiful and comfortable.”

She added that the couple is ready to embrace both life's triumphs and challenges hand in hand. “I would deeply appreciate it if you could look upon our new beginning with warmth and affection. Please pray for us to love each other well,” she wrote, promising to continue greeting fans with her best self in the future.

Song has built a strong television presence in recent years, gaining widespread recognition in Lovely Runner as Im Geum, brother to Im Sol (Kim Hye-yun). He also earned praise in Doctor Cha playing Seo Jeong-min, the son of characters portrayed by Uhm Jung-hwa and Kim Byung-chul.

Kim debuted in 2016 as a member of the idol group Real Girl Project (R.G.P.). Beyond her music career and various variety show appearances, she recently expanded her acting portfolio by starring in Made in Korea, a South Korean-Indian co-production released on Netflix earlier this year.
