Kim Chiu’s older sister, Lakambini “Lakam” Chiu, was arrested in Mandaluyong City on Sunday, Sept. 20, in connection with 124 counts of qualified theft involving their shared business, The House of LittleBunny Philippines, Inc. (HOLB).

Police arrested Lakambini at around 4:06 p.m. in a parking area along Saint Francis St. in Barangay Wack Wack, Mandaluyong City, following an intelligence-driven operation by personnel from the Kamuning Police Station.

The arrest warrant was issued by Branch 84 of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court, which set bail at ₱5,838,000.00 . The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified Lakambini as the “No. 6 Most Wanted Person of the Kamuning Police Station.”

In a separate statement, the PNP National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) referred to the suspect as a person “who has ties to a prominent entertainment personality.”

Lakambini, 45, was later placed under the custody of the Kamuning Police Station for documentation and proper legal disposition.

QCPD Acting District Director PBGen. Christopher F. Olazo said the arrest warrant had to be enforced regardless of who the suspect was.

“No matter who the person is, a valid warrant of arrest must be enforced in accordance with the law,” Olazo said.

He added that the QCPD would continue its efforts to locate wanted individuals and bring them before the proper authorities.

The case stemmed from a qualified theft complaint filed by Kim Chiu and her company, The House of LittleBunny Philippines, Inc., where she serves as the local CEO of the Thai-based bag brand.

In December 2025, Kim, 36, filed the complaint against Lakambini after discovering what she described as serious financial discrepancies and missing funds involving the business.

The actress-host previously acknowledged how difficult it was to take legal action against her older sister. “It is one of the most painful steps I have ever taken in my life,” she said.

As of this writing, Kim has yet to issue a statement regarding her sister’s arrest.
