Joy Awards bring global entertainment stars to Riyadh

Saudi Arabia hosted the annual Joy Awards on Saturday (January 17), bringing together music stars, film icons, athletes and public figures for a ceremony celebrating achievements across entertainment and popular culture.

Held as part of Riyadh Season, the event drew regional and international celebrities to the Saudi capital, featuring live performances and a high-profile awards ceremony.

Inspired by the People’s Choice Awards, the Joy Awards allow the public to nominate and vote for their favorite stars through a dedicated mobile application.

The ceremony has become a key fixture of Riyadh Season, an annual programme of cultural, entertainment and sporting events aimed at boosting tourism and diversifying the kingdom’s economy.
