John Legend set for long-awaited Philippine return with two-night concert

R&B singer John Legend is finally returning to the Philippines after eight years. Legend is set to serenade audiences for two intimate nights of his biggest hits in "An Evening of Songs & Stories." 

According to a social media post by the concert venue, Proscenium Theater, Legend will be performing on September 3 and 4.

The post teased, "You saved room for love, and now the wait is over. Hear every piano key, witness all his emotions, and get ready for an unforgettable evening of songs and stories in a beautifully intimate setting." 

Fans quickly reacted with many asking where they could buy tickets and when. Tickets  will be sold starting Sunday, July 5, through the TicketWorld website and its outlets. As of this writing, ticket prices have yet to be announced.

HIs latesst visit will be Legend’s fourth to the Philippines. He last performed in the country in 2018 during the Asian leg of his “Darkness and Light” world tour.

Legend, 47, is currently on his international tour which includes a European run in July before heading to North America in August.

The award-winning artist is known for hit songs including "All of Me," "Love Me Now," "Save Room," "Tonight (Best You Ever Had)," "Ordinary People," "Green Light," and "You & I (Nobody in the World)."

Beyond his successful music career, Legend is among a select group of artists to achieve EGOT status, with an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award to his name.

A 13-time Grammy winner, he has also received more than 30 Grammy nominations throughout his career, earning victories in categories including Best New Artist and Best Male Vocal Performance.
