Iñigo Pascual injures knee after jumping off stage, pushes through performance

As the adage goes, the show did indeed go on for actor-singer Iñigo Pascual even after a painful onstage mishap left him nursing an injured knee.

While doing a mall show for his upcoming movie, "Drags to Riches,"  Iñigo was hyping up the crowd, trying to get closer to the fans. Iñigo then jumped off the stage and landed badly on his left foot, injuring his knee. The incident aggravated a pre-existing knee injury, which he later revealed, and left him in pain.

Despite the discomfort, the 28-year-old refused to cut the performance short. He stayed on stage and chose to finish singing his song “Dahil Sa’yo” while seated on a chair. Moved by Iñigo's courage, the crowd stood up to show their support and cheered him on. 

Iñigo was seen wearing a leg brace after the accident. In spite of this, he remained committed to promoting his latest film. In his most recent Instagram update, he appeared standing tall and posing confidently, sharing his excitement for the film's premiere. The photo was captioned, “getting ready for premiere!!”

Iñigo later attended the film's premiere on Tuesday, June 23, with co-stars Christian Bables, Elijah Canlas, and other cast members and acquaintances. He is also set to star in the Philippine adaptation of “The Good Doctor,” which is scheduled to premiere on TV5 later this year.

For now, Iñigo remains focused on promoting "Drags to Riches," his first film in a year since "Fatherland." The queer dramedy  opens in cinemas nationwide today, June 24.
