HYBE’s new girl group TUIDE to debut on August 24

HYBE's newest girl group, TUIDE, is preparing to make its official debut on August 24 with first extended play (EP), "Tune & Play." The mini album will be released at 5 pm Philippine time. 

The upcoming EP marks the first project from ABD (A Bold Dream), HYBE's newest label focused on girl group production. ABD announced TUIDE’s debut plans on Monday, along with the launch of the group's official social media channels. 

Ahead of their debut, TUIDE introduced its members through a series of introduction photos and the video "Introductions: WE TUIDE," released on Sunday. The content gave fans a first look at the members and the group's overall identity.

In the video, the members chant the group's name over a minimalist beat that shifts between Korean, English, Japanese and French. The group's name, TUIDE, is derived from the phrase "tune the tide."

The seven-member lineup consists of Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah and Yihani, who were born between 2006 and 2011. According to The Korea Times, the lineup features an international mix of members from Korea, United States, Britain and Japan. 

Before its official debut, TUIDE performed all five tracks from "Tune & Play" during a two-day live event in Seoul over the weekend, giving audiences an early preview of the group's music.

TUIDE is produced by Han Sung-soo, founder of Pledis Entertainment. He is known for producing the girl group After School and the boy groups Seventeen and TWS.

Other girl groups under HYBE labels include LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans, ILLIT, KATSEYE and SAINT SATINE.
