All seven members of Filipino boy group HORI7ON have ended their exclusive management contracts with Korean agency MLD Entertainment and ABS-CBN Corporation.
Vinci, Kim, Kyler, Reyster, Winston, Jeromy, and Marcus announced the termination in a statement issued by their legal counsel, Atorni, on September 4.
According to the members, their exclusive management agreements dated March 10, 2023, were terminated effective August 13, 2026.
“The agreements name MLD Entertainment Co., Ltd. and ABS-CBN Corporation together as the "Management Agency," and our notice of termination was accordingly served on both,” the statement read.
“The matters that brought us to this point concern MLD Entertainment, which has managed our professional activities day to day.”
The members said they did not make the decision hastily. Before ending their agreements, they formally raised their concerns with MLD Entertainment and gave the agency the period required under their contracts to address them.
“A month earlier, on July 13, 2026, we wrote to MLD Entertainment, formally and in writing, setting out what needed to be put right and allowing the fourteen days our agreements require,” the statement read. “The letter was received, and the fourteen days expired without a reply.”
The members said the issues involved serious breaches of their agreements that remained unresolved.
“What we asked to be put right were serious breaches of those agreements where nothing was put right, and we could not go on as we were. Our notice of termination has itself gone unanswered.”
With the agreements terminated, the members said they will now make decisions about their professional activities.
“No one may represent us, accept or cancel work in our name, or hold us out as belonging to any roster, without our authority. What follows now is ours to decide.”
The seven members said they intend to continue their careers in the Philippines and will provide more details when they are able.
They also asked that all correspondence related to the termination and any resulting legal matters be directed to their legal counsel.
“We are not to be approached individually regarding the dispute, and nothing said to one of us outside that channel should be taken as our position. Our rights and claims are reserved in full. We ask that reporting proceed on the basis of this statement.”
The statement also addressed HORI7ON’s fans, known as the Anchors.
“From the very beginning, you carried us - through every stage, in every country, at hours when no one else was watching. We know what you gave us, and we have never taken it lightly.”
The members apologized for having to share the news and said they had held on longer because they did not want to disappoint their fans.
“This chapter is closing, but we are not going anywhere,” the members reassured their fans. The members also thanked them for being part of their journey and they hope to see them again “beyond the horizon.”
HORI7ON is a P-pop boy group formed through the Philippine reality show “Dream Maker.” The group made its official debut in South Korea in July 2023.
Since their debut, the members have performed at events in South Korea and held solo concerts at the Araneta Coliseum and the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Some of HORI7ON’s notable songs include “SIX7EEN,” “Lovey Dovey,” “Lucky,” and their reimagined version of “Sumayaw Sumunod.”
