Gwyn Dorado, Melai Cantiveros bring their Korea connections to Korea Travel Fiesta 2026

Filipino singer Gwyn Dorado and TV personality Melai Cantiveros-Francisco are among the featured personalities set to appear at the Korea Travel Fiesta on August 22 and 23 at the Music Hall and Central Atrium of SM Mall of Asia.

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Manila Office announced on August 1 that the Korea Travel Fiesta will bring together live performances and interactive activities. Teasing Dorado’s appearance, the KTO said, “Get ready to meet Gwyn Dorado as she takes part in this year’s Your Winter Play Ground experience!”

The event will also feature Melai, the Honorary Ambassador for Korea Family Tourism in the Philippines. As part of the program, she will share her love for Korea and highlight the joy of creating memorable family travel experiences.

Gwyn continues to build her career in South Korea, gaining recognition after her song “Losing My Heart” was included in the official soundtrack of the Korean drama “My Royal Nemesis.” 

Now based in South Korea, the 21-year-old singer has been making strides in the Korean music industry, placing as the runner-up on “Sing Again 4” in January.

Following the release of her K-drama OST, Gwyn has remained active in music, collaborating with Korean singers on cover songs.

Melai is a well-known TV personality in the country.  The 38-year-old gained won the first season of “Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up” in 2009 and has since built a career as a host, comedian and actress.

Known for her energetic personality and relatable humor, Melai has remained a familiar presence in showbiz through various television programs. In her role as Korea Family Tourism’s honorary ambassador, she continues to promote Korea as a destination for Filipino families seeking meaningful travel experiences.

The event will also feature Korean hip-hop dance crew Bank Two Brothers (B2B), known for their powerful choreography and high-energy performances.

Visitors can also look forward to Nanta, the internationally acclaimed South Korean non-verbal comedy show created and produced by Korean actor Song Seung-whan. The event will also have taekwondo performances by the Korea Taekwondo Association, including close-up demonstrations and a hands-on session where attendees can learn basic taekwondo moves.

The official event poster, which will include the complete schedule of guest appearances and performance times, will be unveiled on August 7. Admission to the Korea Travel Fiesta is free.
